JUDGEMENT

The Lord God has many judgements that are upon all those who call themselves "Christian."  "For
behold, I will command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is sifted in
a sieve, yet not the least kernel will fall to the ground.  All the sinners of My people will die by the
sword,  who say; 'Evil will not overtake or find us.'"  Amos  9:9

God has rejected the current apostasy.  He has rejected the denial of His Holy Spirit, the doctrines of
men, the current divisions and all of the false spirituality that is a substitute for His will.  He has
rejected those who do not believe that famine, sword, persecution and tribulation will fall upon them.
He has rejected those who believe that they will be fat and prosperous in the last days, only to be
raptured before anything evil comes upon them.  "Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord!  Why
do you long for the day of the Lord?  It is darkness and not light.  As if a man fled from a lion and a
bear meets him; or he went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall and a snake bites him.
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness and not light?  Even very dark with no brightness in it?  I
hate, I despise your feasts and I can not stand your solemn assemblies.  Yes, though you offer Me
your burnt offerings and meal offerings, I will not accept them, neither will I regard the peace
offerings of your fatlings.  Take away from Me the noise of your songs!  I will not listen to the sound
of your harps.  But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream."  Amos
5:18-24

The judgement against the apostasy is going to be a severe and final judgement.  "Put the  trumpet
to your lips! The enemy comes like an eagle against the house of the Lord, because they have
broken My covenant, and rebelled against my law.  They cry to Me, 'My God we know thee!'  Israel
has cast off that which is good; the enemy will pursue him.  They have set up kings; but not by Me;
they have made princes but I did not approve.  Of their silver and gold they have made idols for
themselves, that they may be cut off."  Hosea  8:1-4   "Woe to you scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites!  For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the
law: justice, mercy and faithfulness. But you ought to have done these without leaving the others
undone."   Matthew  23:23   "You have not strengthened those who have disease, neither have you
healed those who are sick, or bound up the broken, the scattered you did not bring back, neither
have you sought out the lost; but with force and severity you have ruled over them!"  Ezekiel 34:4

The apostasy is like those who were found unworthy after being invited to the marriage feast of the
Lamb.  (Matthew 22:1-14)  They are as the virgins who asked the bridegroom to open up for them
after they were late in getting oil for their lamps and the Lord did not know them.  (Matthew 25:1-13)
The apostasy is also like the parable of the landowner.  (Matthew 21:33-44)  The Lord states His
intention in verse 43 of this parable.  "Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away
from you, and be given to a nation bringing forth its fruit.  He who falls on this stone will be broken to
pieces, but on whomever it will fall it will scatter him like dust.  When the chief priests
and the Pharisees heard His parables they perceived that He spoke about them.  When they sought
to seize Him, they feared the multitudes because they considered Him to be a prophet."
Matthew  21:43-45

Jeremiah 5:10-13  speaks specifically of the Lord's commands concerning this judgement.  "Go up
on her walls and destroy; but do not make a complete end, take away her branches, for they are not
the Lord's.  For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously with Me,
declares the Lord.  They have denied the Lord, and said, 'It is not He; evil shall not come on us;
neither shall we see sword and famine.  And the prophets are like the wind, and the word is not in
them, thus it shall be done to them!'"  "Wail, you shepherds and cry; wallow in dust you leaders of the
flock; for the days of your slaughter and your dispersions have come, and you shall fall like a fine
vessel.  The shepherds shall have no where to flee nor will the leaders of the flock escape.  Hear the
cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the leaders of the flock!  For the Lord lays waste their
pasture, and the peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the Lord."
Jeremiah  25:34-37  "Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it and it is the time of Jacob's
trouble, but he shall be saved out of it."   Jeremiah  30:7

"Therefore tell them, thus says the Lord of Hosts,  'Return to Me,' declares the Lord of Hosts, 'and I
will return to you,'  says the Lord of Hosts.  Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets
proclaimed, saying,  Thus says the Lord of Hosts, 'Return now from your evil ways and from your evil
deeds.  But they did not hear or listen to Me,' declares the Lord.  Your fathers, where are they?  And
the prophets do they live forever?  But did not My words and My decrees which I commanded My
servants, the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers?  Then they repented and said,  'As the
Lord of Hosts has determined according to our ways and according to our deeds, so He has dealt
with us."  Zechariah  1:3-6
